ARTICLE
VI DUTIES OF OFFICERS Section 6. The duties of the officers shall be: (a)
President...Shall
preside at all official meetings of the organization.
(He/She) shall direct activities and appoint necessary committees.
He/she shall be an Ex-officio member of all committees except the
nominating committee.
In the
event of a vacancy in any office
or director, he/she
shall appoint a member to serve the un expired term of the officer to be
replaced. (b)
Vice-President...Shall act as president whenever
the President cannot officiate or preside. He shall at all times make suggestions
to promote the welfare and increase the
usefulness of the organization. He shall serve as Show Secretary. (c)
Secretary-Treasurer...Shall attend to all correspondence, receive
dues, maintain records, and keep the members informed on all general
topics of interest to the organization via the club bulletin. He/she
shall prepare and disseminate ballots, tally votes, and report to
the President with respect
to all elections and/or issues t to be decided by vote. He shall publish an up to date membership list
and present an annual report of the
financial standing of the club
by the end of February each
year. (d)
Publicity Director...Shall keep the members
at large informed by
composing a short article
for the club bulletin on his activities
in regards to promoting the interest and activities
of the organization in the pigeon journals and other for as of
news media. (e)
Board of Directors...Shall serve as an advisory
body to the President. This board shall
be empowered to act in any emergency when conditions do not permit
general participation or approval
by all club members. Their general duties shall include assisting the Vice-president
in the setting up and approval of all association-sponsored
shows, the dates, places, awards, and
judges. They shall
review all proposed changes
in the constitution and recommend them for referral to the members for
vote.
